We’re a small operation, we make our stuff one by one, and we take care to do good QC on manufacturing and assembly. Orders are batched and ship out once a week on Tuesday, and shipping is usually 5-10 business days. If you need something faster, just give us a shout and we’ll see what we can do!

Local Pickup can be arranged if you are in Vancouver! Give us a shout before you place your order, and we’ll organize a time and place to have you pickup your order.

Everything is designed by us in house! We start with an idea, maybe something we find we need doesn’t have much in terms of options, or maybe an existing product has something that bothers us or leaves us wanting. We get some sketches down, do some 3D modelling, do some stress analysis if necessary, make a few prototypes, verify our analysis, and once thats all done, we usually either have something we like and can sell, or we have hot garbage and we start again. Thats part of R&D, if you’ve ever made your own thing, sometimes it just sucks, and thats ok! Every mistake is a learning opportunity!

Most of our things are 3D printed, and assembled by hand with some combination of stainless steel bolts and nuts or brass inserts. A few of our products include bits made by another company, like blades in our camp knives. Some other parts are hand made by us to meet some specific requirement.

Its just not something I’m comfortable with. I spend a fair amount of time and energy making these parts exactly how I want them, and I go through a lot of revisions before I’m satisfied.
Also please don’t buy one of my products and reverse engineer it so you can make your own copies, I don’t really think I can stop you, but if you do that you’re kind of a jerk.
Also, honestly, if you have something like a 3d printer, and you can’t use CAD software, you’re selling yourself short. Home CNC manufacturing (whether it be additive or subtractive) is a crazy leap in the effectiveness of the tool box of the garage mad scientist, and if you limit yourself to only downloading files other people make, you’re missing out on a whole world of possibility for your ability to make stuff. Even more than that, your ability to improve processes in making things is so limited.
Have you ever had to drill and tap a hole in a very exact spot on a thing that you can’t get into a mill? Do you not have a mill? You can make a fixture to guide your drill and tap, and line up a hole with insane precision, all you need is a little practice with some CAD software, a little bit of tool time on a 3D printer, and a couple bucks in brass tube from your local metal supplier cut off bin. I know this because I’ve done it, and little things like this have improved the quality of life of all the weird projects I have going. So go out there, trawl the internet, learn a few skills, and make your own bike doohickeys the way YOU want them. You deserve it.
